Our family visited Beaches Turks and Caicos in October 2024. We had a wonderful time and created so many memories while we were on the island! With world-class accommodations, gourmet dining, thrilling water sports, and endless entertainment, Beaches Turks and Caicos provides an unforgettable escape for travelers of all ages. Whether you’re looking to relax under the sun, explore vibrant marine life, or indulge in five-star amenities, this island paradise has something for everyone.
Resort overview:
Beaches Turks and Caicos is a family-friendly all-inclusive resort set on the island of Providenciales. The resort is about 15 minutes away from Providenciales International Airport. I appreciate that Beaches offers airport transfers and includes this in the cost of your vacation. The resort is made up of 5 villages – Seaside, Caribbean, French, Italian, and Key West. All guests have access to the amenities and restaurants that are located in each village. There are a total of 23 restaurants, 15 bars, 10 pools, 4 whirlpools, and 1 incredible waterpark! The entire resort is set along 12 miles of white sand beach and give views to the most gorgeous clear turquoise sea!
Accommodations:
The Italian village is a located between the Key West and Caribbean village. Our stay was in the Italian Concierge Family Suite with Kids Room (V2). We were given a tour of the Italian village and our room with our Concierge agent. The concierge staff also took care of booking our dinner reservation at Kimonos and setting up a few resort excursions for us. Our room was perfect for our family of 5. Our kids loved the bunk bed with trundle, and each took turns sleeping on the top bunk (the best spot!) There was plenty of storage space for our clothes and luggage. The bathroom was beautiful with a jetted tub and a separate walk in rainfall shower. There is no need for you to pack shampoo, conditioner or body wash as the Red Lane Spa products offered at the resort are a premium product and work great! We appreciated the dual sinks in the bathroom and there was a third sink in the kid’s room. Our king size bed was perfectly comfortable and provided us a wonderful view out to the property. Our balcony was overlooking the stunning pool in the Italian village. Our concierge service made sure that our fridge was stocked daily with juice, soda, and water.
With 45 different room categories to choose from, you are sure to find the perfect accommodations that your family will enjoy.
Island Routes:
There are a variety of excursions to enjoy in addition to the included amenities at the resort. We went on a sunset cruise and a clear kayak adventure through the mangroves where we saw numerous sea turtles, fish and a conch.
Amenities:
We spent most of our days at the beach, at one of the many resort pools, or playing at Pirates Island Waterpark!
The beach has soft white sand, and the water is amazingly clear and is the prettiest shades of turquoise and blue! The water certainly lives up to its gorgeous reputation! There are large floating rings in the sea to lounge on. We also brought a couple pool floats to lounge on as well. The waves were somewhat rough and often times it was a yellow or red flag day while we were there. It should be noted that there was a hurricane off the coast of Florida while we were on the island, so I am not sure if this was a cause, but we were still able to enjoy our time at the beach. The beach is very clean and free of seaweed. Our oldest daughter loved spending time collecting the many small shells along the beach and diving down for the ones a few feet off the coast.
The pools were all refreshing and provided a wonderful way to cool off. I liked the variety of quiet pools that were located in the Key West village, and we also enjoyed the Italian pool, Caribbean pool and Seaside pool. Each of these had a swim up bar which was wonderful to get our delicious frozen drinks, cocktails and mocktails!
Pirates Island waterpark was a big hit with our family! We love visiting waterparks and this one was perfect. The waterpark has 5 slides, a surf simulator, a lazy river, a small kid play are with a dumping bucket and a kiddie splash area. The size of the waterpark was great and there is something for kids of all ages. There is even a kids swim up bar where they make kid themed frozen mocktails!
There are many watersport options available such as aquatrikes, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling and sailboats. We did go on the glass bottom boat tour and a 30-minute snorkeling adventure that is an included amenity. This was a fun adventure that we enjoyed quite a bit. Our younger kids did not snorkel for a long time, but we all thought it was neat to see coral and many different kinds of fish.
Our kids enjoyed playing in the arcade area where they have pool tables, ping pong, air hockey and a subsoccer table! These were a big a hit! Afterwards we headed over to Bobby Dee’s restaurant for some cotton candy! This is served daily between 11am and 4pm. There are also kid’s clubs available, and an Xbox Play Lounge. We hung out as a family the whole time so our kids did experience the kid’s clubs, but this is a wonderful, included service that offers parents an opportunity to enjoy the Red Lane Spa together or have a nice dinner together while the kids can play.
Dining:
With 19 restaurants, two food trucks and a coffee and pastry shop available, we did not go hungry during our week-long stay! With so many options available, we did our best to try them all! My recommendation is to pay attention to the restaurant hours and days they are open. Some restaurants are open only certain days of the week. Be sure to check the app for the hours and days the restaurants are open.
Bobby Dee’s – This is a casual restaurant that has a cute 50’s style theme and is located within Pirates Island Waterpark. They serve pizza, burgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets and mac & cheese. They also offer ice-cream and popcorn. We ate here when we first arrived at the resort. The food was okay for adults and perfect for the kids.
Kimonos – Japanese cuisine is served by a skilled chef who prepares your food teppanyaki style while they perform a show before your eyes! This was by far our favorite meal! Our chef was so engaging and fun! You are able to try all items on the menu which was so nice. Everyone in our family found the food to be delicious, which is no small feat! Our favorites were the fried rice, steak and chicken. Our pickiest eater even enjoyed the meal, and her favorite part was the stir-fried noodles. This is the only restaurant on resort that requires a reservation so be sure to make those when you arrive.
Reflections – This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet style. We dined here for breakfast and lunch. There were many great options available both times we ate here, and we enjoyed the buffet style when we wanted a quick bite.
Arizonas – Here you will find classic southern cuisine options such as pulled pork, baby back ribs, shrimp tacos and fried chicken. For lunch they offer a gyro & taco bar and a chili bar! We ate here for dinner and my family loved the bourbon baby back ribs! We did not try the gyro & taco bar and chili bar, but it did look amazing with so many options available!
Sapodillas – This is an adult-only beautiful restaurant that serves Caribbean dishes such as conch, calamari, snapper, grouper, lobster, and beef tenderloin. My husband and I did enjoy one evening and had a wonderful dinner just the two of us at this restaurant. I ordered the Caribbean Style Couscous with a roasted chicken breast which was very good. My husband enjoyed the Grilled Spiny Lobster. Our favorite was the dessert – Sinful Chocolate with Cinnamon Ice Cream – amazing!
Giuseppe’s – This is an Italian inspired restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as a buffet. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this restaurant which offered a salad bar, many kinds of pasta dishes and an array of desserts.
Café de Paris – This is a cute pastry and coffee shop that offers a variety of snacks, desserts and coffee throughout the day. We came here in the morning for some coffee and late one evening for a sweet treat!
Bella Napoli – Here you will find so many incredible brick oven pizza options served during lunch. They even offer a calzone, pizza bites and delicious dessert option! Our favorites were the Carni (meat lover), Calabrese, and Vegetariana. We tried to Pizza Bites which were pizza dough balls with a delicious garlic butter and served with marinara sauce. Our kids loved the Calzone Dolce which is the dessert option – a calzone with chocolate sauce and banana slices – so yummy!
Barefoot By the Sea – This is a super cute restaurant that is located between the Caribbean Sea and the Italian pool. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We enjoyed a breakfast here one day which was very good. Our favorites were the Belgian waffles, Caribbean shrimp and crab omelet, and French toast fingers served with salted caramel, toasted walnuts and cinnamon-sugar – SO GOOD!
Dinos Pizzeria Italiana – This is a casual Italian restaurant that serves brick oven pizzas, salads and sandwiches for lunch and further offers pasta and paninis at dinner time. We enjoyed lunch here one day and the biggest hit was the Panino Con Polpette which was a meatball sandwich served on ciabatta with asiago cheese.
Bayside Restaurant – This is a beautiful restaurant that offers buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ate here for the breakfast buffet and enjoyed the variety of options available while gazing upon the beautiful Caribbean Sea.
Sky Restaurant – This restaurant is located above the Bayside Restaurant and offers the most fantastic view of the most beautiful water in the Caribbean! The restaurant offers a delicious Caribbean style breakfast and dinner. We ate here for breakfast twice during our stay. The offerings were great, and our favorites were the Tropical Smoothie Bowl, Apple Stuffed French Toast and Ocean Breeze Breakfast. The hashbrowns served here were our kid’s absolute favorite! The app states that there is a minimum age requirement of 12 years old for the restaurant, but I am not sure if this just applies to dinner because our 8-year-old kids were allowed to come with us both times.
Mr. Mac – This is one of the food truck options on resort and offers incredibly delicious Mac and Cheese options. Our favorites were the Deluxe Cheeseburger Mac, Chicken Parmesan Mac and the Deep-Fried Mac Balls.
Curls ‘n Swirls – Super cute ice-cream food truck that offer delicious ice-cream shakes and frozen yogurt. This is conveniently located in the Pirates Island Waterpark and made is so easy for our kids to grab a cold treat anytime they wanted. Our favorites were the Chocolate Cookie Dough Fudge and Fairy Princess.
Marios – This is a gorgeous Italian style restaurant which offers a buffet style breakfast and delicious classic Italian dinner options. We enjoyed breakfast and really enjoyed our dinner. There is an Antipasto Buffet with appetizers and salads first and then we savored upon Chicken Parmigiana and Lasagne. The dessert options were amazing and included Tiramisu and warm chocolate tart served with almond ice cream! Since we are returning guests to Sandals/Beaches we were invited to join the Welcome Back Lunch, which was served here as well, and the food was great during that too!
Schooners Seafood Grill – This is a gorgeous restaurant that serves salads, fresh seafood, steak and pasta. We savored on the Chicken & Mushroom Alfredo and the Chargrilled Ribeye Steak.
The other restaurants available on resort are Le Petit Chateau, The Cricketers Pub, Soy Sushi Bar, Neptunes Mediterranean Seafood, and the Jerk Truck.
Entertainment:
There are so many daytime and nighttime entertainment options available to resort guests. From pool activities to beach volleyball and theater shows to karaoke there is non-stop fun for everyone! We really enjoyed watching the kid’s talent show one evening after dinner. There were so many talented kids who were staying at the resort who got up on stage to sing, dance, and perform gymnastics routines. Everyone cheered them on, and it was a wonderful evening. We also saw the parade one evening while shopping the local vendors that come in to sell their goods.
