Lands & Attractions
Marvel Super Hero Island
Step into the pages of comic books with action-packed rides where the architecture seeks to re-create the Pop Art look of comic book backgrounds. Be on the lookout several times a day when Marvel heroes parade in on all-terrain vehicles and take over the streets and greet guests.
• The Incredible Hulk Coaster – A high-speed launch coaster with loops and intense thrills.
• The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man – A 3D motion-simulator ride that blends practical effects and digital magic.
• Doctor Doom’s Fearfall – A drop tower that propels riders high into the sky.

Toon Lagoon
A whimsical area of the park that translates cartoon art into real buildings and settings. Perfect for water ride lovers and classic cartoon fans.
• Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls – A log flume ride with a steep, 75-foot final drop – prepare to get wet!
• Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges – A river rapids ride where getting soaked is guaranteed.
• Me Ship, The Olive – A three-floor interactive playground aboard Popeye’s beloved boat, The Olive.
Skull Island: Reign of Kong
Enter the misty jungle and come face-to-face with the mighty King Kong on a multi-sensory expedition. This is the stand-alone attraction within Skull Island and consists of an indoor-outdoor truck safari with 3D effects.
Jurassic Park
Dinosaur lovers, get ready for prehistoric adventures! This completely immersive area of the park transports you right into the film franchise.
• Jurassic World VelociCoaster – A high-speed launch coaster with inversions and near-miss elements. This attraction is known as Universal Orlando’s most extreme roller coaster – with four inversions, an 80-degree dive down a towering 155-foot tall “top hat” and speeds of 70 mph, this coaster is not for the faint of heart!
• Jurassic Park River Adventure – A scenic boat ride that turns into a thrilling escape from a T-Rex. The ride concludes with an 85-foot drop – prepare to get wet!
• Camp Jurassic – A very elaborate kid’s interactive play area.
• Jurassic Park Discovery Center – An interactive educational natural history exhibit that mixes in some fiction from the Jurassic Park movies.
• Pteranodon Flyers – A suspended two-seater kiddie coaster that dangles you on a swing below a track that passes over part of Jurassic Park.
• Raptor Encounter – An amazingly realistic photo op with a lifelike dinosaur.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade
Step into J.K. Rowling’s magical universe and experience iconic locations depicted from the first five films and books. The access point to this area is through an imposing stone archway that opens onto Hogsmeade, depicted in winter and covered in snow. The area is beautiful with the Hogwarts Express locomotive on the right and village setting with stone cottages and shops that have steeply pitched slate roofs and tall crooked chimneys sprawled in front of you. At the far end of the village, the massive Hogwarts Castle comes into view, set atop a rock face and towering over Hogsmeade and the entire Wizarding World.
• Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey – A groundbreaking motion-simulator dark ride inside Hogwarts Castle. The castles passageways are certainly impressive and this attraction is the only place where fans will encounter Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Dumbledore as portrayed by the original actors.
• Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure – A themed storytelling indoor-outdoor coaster featuring animatronic creatures and thrilling launches aboard a Muggle Motorcycle and side car. Highlights of the adventure include a vertical spike that leads into a backwards helix, followed by a dropping track in the dark!
• Flight of the Hippogriff – A family-friendly elevated coaster with fantastic views of the castle.
• Hogwarts Express – A train ride with special effects to Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida (requires Park-to-Park ticket).
• Ollivanders Wand Shop – Experience a wand choosing ceremony.
• Three Broomsticks – A rustic tavern serving English staples.
The Lost Continent
A land of Ancient Greek mythology and mystery.
• Mystic Fountain – An interactive talking fountain.
• Mythos Restaurant – A sit-down restaurant serving Greek inspired dishes as well as Italian, Asian, Spanish and American inspired options. The restaurant has a gorgeous grotto like atmosphere with large picture windows, framed by water cascading down from waterfalls on top of the restaurant, that look out over the central lagoon to The Incredible Hulk Coaster. Mythos was voted World’s Best Theme Park Restaurant 10 times, most recently in 2022.
Seuss Landing
A 10-acre themed area based on Dr. Seuss’s famous children’s books. The buildings and attractions engulf the visitors into a colorful world that replicate a whimsical cartoon style with exaggerated features and rounded lines. There are many opportunities for character meet and greets throughout the day.
• The Cat in the Hat – A dark ride retelling Dr. Seuss’s beloved story.
• Caro-Seuss-el – An interactive merry-go-round entirely made up of Dr. Seuss characters.
• One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish – A spinning ride with water elements.
• The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride! – An elevated train ride through and around the buildings in Seuss Landing while listening to a Dr. Seuss story.
• If I Ran the Zoo – A Dr. Seuss themed interactive play area and outdoor maze filled with fantastic animals and gizmos from the stories.
Special Events at Universal Islands of Adventure
• Holidays (mid-November through early January) – You’ll find Christmas décor throughout Islands of Adventure, Hogsmeade celebrates Christmas with festive ornamentation, holiday treats and a spectacular light show on Hogwarts Castle. The star of the holidays is the Grinch and Seuss Landing, where you can celebrate Grinchmas with the iconic green grump who famously stole Christmas. Multiple times during the day there is an opportunity to view the 30-minute musical stage show performance, Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular. Another popular holiday celebration is the Grinch character breakfast that is held on select mornings during November and December. Reservations are required for this meal and allows guests to meet and take photos with the Grinch.
Tickets & Express Pass
• Single-Day & Multi-Day Tickets – Options available for Universal Studios and/or Islands of Adventure.
• Park-to-Park Ticket – This option allows you to visit both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in the same day. This ticket option is required for riding Hogwarts Express.
• Universal Express Pass – Allows you to skip the regular lines ONE time on participating attractions and you can use it whenever you want without needing reservations.
Universal Express Unlimited Pass – Allows you to skip the regular lines as many times as you like per day on participating attractions whenever you want without needing reservations
Tips for Visiting
• Stay at a Universal Orlando Resort hotel to take advantage of Early Park Admission, which allows you to enter the parks up to one hour prior to park opening.
• Use Universal Express Pass to skip long lines on select rides. The Universal Express Pass is included with your stay at Hard Rock Hotel, Lowes Portofino Bay, and Lowes Royal Pacific Hotel.
• Since the attraction is not included with the Universal Express Pass, arrive early to ride Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure before wait times increase.
• Keep in mind that many of the attractions in this park may cause you to get wet, keep this in mind and plan for a change of clothes/shoes if needed.
• Stay hydrated and take breaks, especially during Florida’s hot months.
• Keep an eye out for character meet-and-greets for fun photo opportunities.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure is a paradise for thrill-seekers, families, and movie fans alike. With its immersive lands, world-class attractions, and unforgettable experiences, it’s no surprise that this park continues to be a top destination for theme park lovers. Personally, my favorite areas were Seuss Landing and Hogwarts. The immersive storytelling of these areas was incredible! I had the opportunity to grab a delicious frozen Butterbeer (highly recommend) and then ride Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure which was incredible! Whether you’re soaring through Hogwarts, racing alongside raptors, or braving the streets of Marvel Super Hero Island, every turn offers a new adventure.
